Steps to Becoming a Tennessee Real Estate Agent

Complete the Required Pre-Licensing Courses

Successfully complete the Tennessee 60-hour Real Estate Principles course and the 30-hour New Affiliate course with an approved school like Level Real Estate Academy. Our live and online classes walk you through every topic you’ll see on the exam.

Take & Pass the State Exam

Register for and take the Tennessee Affiliate Broker Licensing Exam through PSI. Use our practice tests, review sessions, and exam tips to earn a passing score of 70% or higher on both the national and state portions.

Apply with the Tennessee Real Estate Commission

Submit your application to the Tennessee Real Estate Commission with all required documentation: proof of course completion, high school education, background check, E&O insurance information, and payment of all necessary fees.

Place Your License with a Principal Broker

Once your license is approved, affiliate with a Tennessee principal broker. We help connect you with brokerages and provide new-agent training so you can start building your business, serving clients, and closing your first deals.
